Stuart Boehning works with business owners, entrepreneurs, real estate investors, and families to help them build, protect, and transfer their wealth. Combining more than 30 years of legal experience with a strong business background, Stuart brings a practical, strategic perspective to complex legal and financial decisions. His goal is not simply to address a client’s immediate needs, but to develop thoughtful solutions that support long-term success, protect hard-earned assets, and preserve wealth for future generations.

Stuart’s practice focuses on business and corporate planning, real estate, agribusiness, and estate planning and administration. He advises clients on business formation and structuring, business acquisitions and sales, ownership transitions, succession planning, real estate transactions, trusts, and estate administration. Whether helping an entrepreneur structure a growing company, a real estate investor protect and organize assets, or a family prepare for the transfer of wealth, Stuart approaches each matter with an understanding of the broader financial and family considerations involved.

As a business owner himself, Stuart understands firsthand the challenges of managing a company, making investment decisions, and planning for the future. That experience shapes his approach to the practice of law. He believes effective counsel begins with listening, understanding each client’s objectives, and providing practical recommendations that make sense not only legally, but also from a business and personal perspective. He values long-term client relationships and strives to be an accessible, trusted advisor as his clients’ businesses, investments, and families evolve.

Stuart earned his business degree from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and subsequently built a legal career spanning more than 30 years. His experience at BB&C includes both transactional matters and complex litigation. One particularly notable case involved nine years of litigation and two appeals before ultimately resulting in the largest verdict in the firm’s history.

While Stuart values the challenge of resolving complex legal matters, he finds particular satisfaction in helping business owners develop succession plans, involve the next generation in family enterprises, and create strategies that allow their businesses and wealth to benefit their families for years to come.

Outside of his practice, Stuart enjoys spending time with his family and his four children. He is an avid fisherman and enjoys working on his family’s horse farm.
